Where we work

Fairbridge in Greater Manchester covers five of the ten local authorities that comprise Greater Manchester: Salford, Manchester, Tameside, Trafford and Stockport. The other five are covered by Fairbridge North Manchester.

As reflective of an inner city, we are based in an area of high depravation. Salford, where the team centre is located, ranks 12^th in the indices of deprivation.

The team covers a wide and diverse area with a vibrant city centre, culturally rich in museums, galleries and world class sporting venues, a wealth of shopping and leisure facilities and a strong employment market. This is juxtaposed with areas of extreme poverty, above average unemployment and sickness rates and low academic achievement.
