Working in partnership

Accenture

We have been working in partnership with Fairbridge since 1994. We helped to open the Rochdale centre and have committed £75,000 for three years. Our staff volunteer at Fairbridge, helping out with day climbs for example. It’s been really great to pass on our experience to the young people we are helping. It helps to open their eyes and raise their aspirations. Our staff have raised money for Fairbridge by participating in the Greater Manchester Run and the North Run and organising their own fundraising activities. We also give Fairbridge young people gifts at Christmastime when they normally would not receive any.

Royal Bank Of Scotland

We have a fantastic relationship with our corporate colleagues at the Royal Bank of Scotland who regularly take part in fundraising activities and events. Our latest venture is a Gameshow Marathon in which teams from RBS will raise money to gain entry and pit their wits against each other in a battle to see who will be the Gameshow Champion. Events of this kind give an opportunity for the RBS teams to work together and get to know their colleagues on a different level, also to work with the team here in Salford and find out more about where the funds they raise goes to.

Our RBS colleagues have also delivered a training workshop to our Outreach and Development workers to build on their skills of presentation and persuasion. The session was highly successful with colleagues from both organisations sharing experiences and learning from each other.
