Merseyside takes fundraising to new heights (14,000 feet to be precise)

Skydivers raising money for Fairbridge

On Saturday 10th October 2009, a team of 12 people jumped out of a plane to raise funds for Fairbridge in Merseyside!

The brave jumpers were Sir Michael Bibby, Caroline Swailes, Eddie Swailes, Steve Clark, Joe O’Connor, Clare Doran, Heather de Groot, Siobhan Doran and Caroline Doran with Fairbridge Development Tutors Steve Dillon, Danny Cording and Marcus Drummond.

Well done to everyone involved as, despite the waiting around and nervous anticipation, we had a great day with a brilliant atmosphere added to by the Everton Foundation (who have recently assisted with the Fairbridge sports programme) also jumping for their charity making the total number of tandem freefalls to almost 30!

Fundraising is still taking place but we anticipate at least 12,000 from this event!
