On the 18th February, eight brave volunteers ventured into the realms of the Bury office to help out with a cleanup day.
Volunteers came from Diageo, through Positive future (Catch 22) to offer their time and enthusiasm to a day of hard-work in the office. They helped to paint, clean carpets, neaten up the young person’s kitchen and tidy the activity rooms used by young people.
Everyone came with a positive expectations and the day proved to be huge success. Two weeks on, the centre is looking smarter than it ever has all thanks to the clear out day.
Dan Driver, Operations Manager at Fairbridge North Manchester said,"It was really good to see the Diageo employees so enthusiastic and ready to get stuck in with the work. As a charity we are always keen to have volunteers come in to help out as it makes such a huge difference to the quality of service we deliver to young people. Diageo, through Positive Futures have made a big difference to the environment in which young people learn and I hope that this is just the beginning of a long and fruitful partnership."
