Laidlaw Youth Trust

A recent donation from the Laidlaw Youth Trust has enabled Fairbridge in Scotland to enhance the service we offer young people looking to get ready for the working world and build on their employability skills. The Trust has previously supported a very successful employability project in our Edinburgh team, subsequently providing funding to carry out a comprehensive evaluation.

As a result, we were able to identify the key elements in the project which made it successful. Thanks to further funding from the Trust, it has been possible to roll this programme out to our Dundee team, where a brand new training kitchen means we are about to run a series of courses, in partnership with local hotels, that will help young people pursue a career in the catering industry.
