Fairbridge in London, Kennington Centre first opened its doors 27 years ago in 1982 in Canterbury Court, the heart of Kennington Business Centre. Since then we have grown and developed outreaching to 12 of the major London Boroughs. 18 months ago we moved to a larger location just around the corner on Cranmer Road and are proud to be the showcase centre for the whole organisation. The centre enables young people from across London to enjoy the use of a large kitchen area, well equipped IT suit, art facilities, as well as general workspace for music, fitness and key skills.
The support at the Kennington centre has come in the form of many individuals over the years from Steve Rowbotham the 2008 Olympic Gold medallist to Jenny Jones, Green Party representative for the London Assembly and the current Home Secretary, Jacqui Smith. All have rallied support for the work that Fairbridge in London carries out and have supported our diverse courses and projects.
