Issues our young people face

There is a big problem in Liverpool with gang and drug-related shootings as well as a prevalent drugs culture, many young people with ASBOs, little family support and high levels of youth crime. There are still areas of the city that are very deprived and have not yet seen the full benefit of ongoing regeneration. Crime does not occur in isolation. It has long been recognised that areas that suffer high levels of deprivation e.g. poor housing and health, high unemployment etc, will also have problems relating to crime and disorder, and anti-social behaviour.
