Fairbridge in Merseyside started out as a small cabin on the Albert Docks 25 years ago after the Toxteth Riots. We mainly just did Access then but took over a barge as the team grew.
In 1994 we took on our first Development Coordinator and started our Programme of courses as well as running drop-in days. By this time we were too big for the barge and so we moved to our current centre.
We’ve also had links with Liverpool FC – Jamie Carragher came to visit us and a few years ago Anfield displayed Fairbridge banners on the side of the pitch.
