Royal Bank of Scotland Group

As the UK’s leading community bank, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group continues to support Fairbridge in its work with young people across the UK.

Fairbridge has been working in partnership with The Royal Bank of Scotland Group for over five years. A financial support package over a three year period from 2004- 07 enabled Fairbridge to achieve a 'step change' in the development of the organisation and enhance the independent living skills provision for young people.

From 2007 the objective of the partnership has been to deliver employee involvement/volunteering opportunities for RBS Group employees to get involved and make a difference. To date more than 1000 employees have volunteered their skills and time to help change young lives by fundraising, running CV and interview skills workshops, taking part in our team building events and much more.

The opportunities Fairbridge provides can also be linked to personal development, so staff can also enhance key workplace skills.

We have now worked with Fairbridge for over five years and over that time have helped them to create a step change in the quality of programmes they offer to the UK’s hardest to reach, inner-city young people. The partnership has also involved over 900 of our employees providing them with unique development opportunities. Our partnership is a great example of how a corporate, charity and a charity’s client group can all benefit from a close working relationship
