Team history

The Solent team was established in September 1999 with the financial support of an anonymous individual. The only information known about the donor is that he had his roots in Southampton and is now based in the United States.

The centre’s first Access was run by one member of staff. Today there are 14 full time staff supported by volunteers and work placements delivering over 16 Access courses a year and a fun and exciting range of follow on activities.
