Julian Lloyd, Parnership Development Officer:
“One of the main problems in South West Wales is homelessness. About 40-50 per cent of the centre’s intake is from homeless hostels. Swansea is the nearest city to a very rural area in West Wales, There is a lack of job opportunities in the rural areas, which means that young people are drawn to the town but unable to afford housing.
There are also drug issues and problems with heroin being readily available, as well as cannabis and alcohol abuse.”
