Feedback from some of the schools we work with:
“The structure of Fairbridge has changed and developed greatly over recent months. The approach is more structured and communication between Fairbridge and ourselves has greatly improved.
The pupils vote with their feet, and the ones that have successfully completed the access course do enjoy attending the follow on courses. So much so, that from my end, demand outweighs availability. Fairbridge is obviously growing and developing and we are very pleased to be associated with them at this time.”
John Holmes of Gillbrook Technology College
“I saw Sarah today at school and she was ‘buzzin’ about her time in Edinburgh with Fairbridge. She came to see me this morning – this was her first day back! Unfortunately I didn’t have time to speak to her as the place was manic. She came to see me last lesson. We had a chance to talk and she said that the break was ‘quality’. She told me about talking to ‘posh’ people about how she did things and what she did, the smile on her face was wonderful. I told her if she could do all that, and now that she knows she can do it the sky’s not the limit! Her smile got broader! Thank you so much for giving her this experience, I am sure she will remember this time with fondness and I am sure it will urge her onto bigger and better things. You do a grand job!”
Leigh McClure of The Norton School
“Fairbridge is an organisation that has provided hope and aspirations for pupils and parents in a supportive and non judgmental way and their programme has managed to retain in school a number of students who we would otherwise have lost.
They are highly flexible, expansive and collaborative in their planning and they are focused upon sustaining and supporting pupils within mainstream education”.
