Team history

Fairbridge in Tyne & Wear started out in May 1985 in a small centre in Raby Street in Byker before quickly moving onto a larger centre in Blaydon as the team grew. The team gradually grew as they reached out to more young people across the Tyne & Wear area. The current centre was opened by Princess Alexandra in 2002. Jim Cousins, Labour MP for Newcastle-upon-Tyne Central also officially opened the Accenture DCS Constructions Skills Project for us.
