Spirit on passage between Oban & Liverpool

Spirit of Fairbridge sailed into Liverpool on 15 June having completed the choppy journey of 200 nautical miles from her voyage point of Oban. Spirit's crew comprised a number of Fairbridge young people alongside the full time crew.

A welcome reception was held aboard Spirit at the Albert Docks where a host of local supporters turned out in force to celebrate the ship's arrival alongside the achievements of young people at Fairbridge in Merseyside.

Leading Liverpool figure and long-time supporter Sir Michael Bibby, CEO of Bibby Line was there alongside another well-known Liverpudlian, John Syvret, Chief Executive of Cammell Laird were in attendance. It was a great chance to thank our supporters and introduce new faces to the work we do aboard Spirit and in our centres. Thanks to everyone who made us so welcome!
